Vitamin D

from $89.00

Vitamin D Blood Spot test - measures your body’s vitamin D levels to see if you have enough to support healthy bones, a strong immune system, and overall wellness.

Many testing methods do not differentiate between the two forms of vitamin D. However, this test method is sensitive and specific for both vitamin D2 and D3 levels in the body, and each form is measured and reported independently.

This provides the best assessment of your vitamin D status, and includes the vitamin D you get from your diet, supplements and exposure to UVB light, such as sunlight.

Collection: Blood Spot

Turnaround Time: 1 week (estimated)

  • Bone Health

  • Calcium Absorption

Where Does Vitamin D Come From?

There are two main forms:

  • Vitamin D3 – Made by your body when your skin is exposed to sunlight and found in animal-based foods.

  • Vitamin D2 – Found in plant-based foods and some fortified products.

This test measures both D2 and D3, as well as your total vitamin D level, giving us a complete picture of your vitamin D status.

Why This Test Matters

25-Hydroxyvitamin D is the main form of vitamin D circulating in your bloodstream. Because it stays in your system longer, it’s the most accurate way to determine whether you are deficient, insufficient, or in an optimal range.

Many labs only report a total number. This test uses a highly accurate method that measures D2 and D3 separately, so we can better understand where your levels are coming from (sun, food, or supplements) and personalize your care accordingly.
