  • This treatment is very mild and not painful, in fact, there is little to no sensation at all during treatment.

    You might feel a mild, soothing warmth or tingling.

    However, areas of pain or inflammation may be sensitive briefly before pain reduction.

  • A typical treatment takes anywhere from 4 to 8 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated.

  • You may feel improvement right away. Many patients experience pain reduction after their first treatment. This isn’t always the case, and it may take several treatments before you can tell a noticeable difference, but that doesn’t mean your condition isn’t improving. Each treatment is cumulative, and results are often felt after 3 or 4 sessions.

  • Acute conditions may be treated daily, especially if the patient is in significant pain. More chronic problems respond better when treatments are given 2 to 3 times a week, tapering to once a week or every other week, with improvement.

  • This depends on the condition being treated. For some acute conditions, 4 to 6 treatments may be sufficient, while chronic conditions may require 6 to 12 (or more) treatments. Conditions like severe arthritis do well with ongoing periodic treatment to control pain.

  • Yes. Laser therapy is often used with physical therapy, chiropractic care, massage, soft tissue mobilization, electrotherapy, and even following surgery. We recommend combining laser treatment with other healing modalities to increase effectiveness.

  • There have been very few side effects ever reported over the 20+ years this treatment has been used by healthcare providers worldwide. Occasionally, some old injuries or pain syndromes may feel aggravated for a few days, as the healing response is more active after treatment.
